Cisco Secure Client ThousandEyes Endpoint Agent Module

About Cisco Secure Client ThousandEyes Endpoint Agent Module

The Endpoint Agent is an application that collects network- and application-layer performance data when users access specific websites from within monitored networks. It enhances a customers' ability to get a complete picture of their application health, allowing them to make better-informed decisions and to resolve issues quicker. With the installation of ThousandEyes in Secure Client, its version is displayed in the Secure Client About box upon its detection.

Once an Endpoint Agent is installed, it attempts to register with the ThousandEyes service using a secret key and a unique machine ID. Upon successful registration, the Endpoint Agent downloads the latest configuration. When the configuration is up-to-date, the data collection begins with browser-based data and periodic local network probes. The endpoint agent can then measure application performance with scheduled tests, automated session tests, browser sessions, or network access. All of the collected data and metrics are displayed in one expansive view.

Older ThousandEyes versions without the Secure Client presentation plugin cannot be detected. The installer will detect if an Enterprise version of ThousandEyes is installed and will not allow installation while that is present.

The ThousandEyes Endpoint Agent Module is available in Secure Client for Windows 10 and 11 and macOS 10.10 (or later). We do not support ARM64 devices. The current Endpoint Agent version supported is 1.168.2 (or later).
