Regulatory Domain or Geographic Region Channel Plans

The WPAN gateway and range extender use a multi-channel frequency hopping spread spectrum radio that operates in the unlicensed 902 to 928 MHz frequency ISM band for North America, or in subsets of the 902 to 928 MHz frequency band in other regulatory domains. The specific frequency band and channel representation for each supported regulatory domain are shown in the tables in this section. The WPAN gateway and range extender use frequency limiting firmware with a “channel notching” feature to restrict transmitting in channels outside of the allowable frequency band for each specific regulatory domain.

The channel plan information in this section is for the following regulatory domain or geographic regions:

FCC and IC Regulatory Domains Channel Plan

For the FCC and IC regulatory domains, the WPAN gateway and WPAN range extender transmit in the 902 to 928 MHz band. The channel spacing is 400 kHz. 64 radio frequency (RF) channels are utilized, as listed in Table A-10 .
