The Cisco Aironet Active Sensor is a compact wireless device that lets you test real-world client experiences. Unlike other sensors that are deployed in conjunction with ceiling-affixed access points, the Aironet Active Sensor can be plugged into any electrical outlet. This provides the Aironet Active Sensor with high-fidelity insight at the ground level -- where the majority of mobile devices are located.​

The Active Sensor is ideal for validating wireless client performance for a critical venue, such as a conference facility. Or you can make sure that VIP clients will have enough bandwidth for their mobile devices. The sensor is also useful for everyday checks -- test your network with the proactive monitoring capability. Simulations help you avoid poor network performance and deliver the finest user experience.
