Dentro do SDA, há dois métodos principais para a resolução ARP dentro da estrutura. O que é conhecido como caminho unicast indica que não há configuração de inundação ARP de Camada 2 (L2) ou falta de "flood arp nd" configurado sob o ID de instância L2 (IID) do LISP que corresponda à VLAN em questão. Dica: é recomendável fazer ping no gateway padrão do host final em direção ao switch de borda, e não o contrário, para evitar conclusões falsas relacionadas aos pacotes ICMP que são descartados por um firewall no dispositivo do host final.
