Problem Description


When it is running an affected release, Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) Software might be unable to upload Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect) images that are larger than 100 MB.


Background


The Cisco FMC web interface supports the upload of Cisco Secure Client images. To add Cisco Secure Client image files to the Cisco FMC interface, choose Object > Object Management > VPN > Secure Client File. When it is running an affected release, the Cisco FMC interface might be unable to upload Cisco Secure Client images that are larger than 100 MB.


Problem Symptom


For Cisco Secure Client images that are larger than 100 MB, the Cisco FMC console shows the following error message:

Error during file upload. Please ensure that the Firewall Management Center has enough space, the file is valid and that the file name contains only letters, digits, - and _. Secure Client Image file names may contain .

Workaround/Solution


Workaround

  1. In the Cisco FMC CLI, enter the following commands: 
         > expert
         > sudo su
         > vim +76 /usr/local/sf/htdocs/ddd/fileUpload.cgi
  2. Enter i to go into interactive mode on Vim.
  3. Increase the maxFileSizeMap by changing ANY_CONNECT_IMAGE => 100 * 1024 * 1024, to ANY_CONNECT_IMAGE => 200 * 1024 * 1024,.
  4. Enter Esc to save the file changes.
  5. Enter :wq.
  6. Upload the Cisco Secure Client image to the Cisco FMC interface.

Solution

Cisco recommends upgrading to one of the Cisco FMC Software releases shown in the following table:
