Certain NCS2K-100GS-CK-C line cards do not complete the boot up sequence if they are installed in a network that runs Software Release 10.1x . With newer software releases, the impacted line cards could stop after boot up.
The serial numbers of the affected product are listed in the Serial Number Validation tool.
A problem was identified in the manufacturing setup for NCS2K-200G-CK-C.
The equipment ID for NCS2K-100GS-CK-C was programmed incorrectly with that of NCS2K-200G-CK-C. Therefore, Software Release 10.1 does not recognize the card as NCS2K-100GS-CK-C and does not complete boot up. Software Releases 10.3 and later recognize NCS2K-100GS-CK-C card as a 200G transponder and can complete boot up, but the unit might no longer work at some other point because of the wrong configuration.
The card does not complete the boot up process or no longer works after boot up.
The serial numbers of the affected product are listed in the Serial Number Validation tool.
