End-of-Life Notice, No. 2171
Cisco Systems® announces the End-of-Life of the Cisco® SOHO 71, SOHO 76, SOHO 77, SOHO 77H, 806, 826, 827, and 827H routers. The last day to order the Cisco SOHO 71, SOHO 76, SOHO 77, SOHO 77H, 806, 826, 827, and 827H routers is April 30, 2004. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until April 30, 2009. Table 1 describes the End-of-Life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco SOHO 71, SOHO 76, SOHO 77, SOHO 77H, 806, 826, 827, and 827H routers.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco SOHO 90 and Cisco 830 Series routers, which provide additional functionality and performance at the same or lower cost. Information about this product can be found at:

Product Migration Options
The recommended replacements for the Cisco SOHO 71, SOHO 76, SOHO 77, SOHO 77H, 806, 826, 827, and 827H routers are the corresponding Cisco SOHO 90 Series broadband routers and Cisco 830 Series broadband routers (Table 3). Cisco SOHO 90 Series broadband routers provide the features of the Cisco SOHO 70 Series routers with the addition of an integrated 4-port 10/100 LAN switch and add integrated VPN capabilities with software-based 3DES encryption. Cisco 830 Series broadband routers provide all the capabilities of the Cisco 806, 826, and 827 routers with the addition of an integrated 4-port 10/100 LAN switch, hardware-based encryption for VPNs, QoS for voice and video, a virtual AUX port on the Cisco 831 and 837 routers, and an ISDN port on the Cisco 836 router. These added capabilities of the Cisco SOHO 90 and Cisco 830 Series cost the same or less, compared to the corresponding Cisco SOHO 70 and Cisco 806 and 820 Series products mentioned in this announcement.
